Power of Attorney
Lawyer details that may be requested when preparing a notarised power of attorney are listed below.
A power of attorney is drawn up when the person granting it applies to a notary with an identity document.
Those abroad can have the power of attorney drawn up at Turkish consulates.
The notary may request the lawyer details to be included in the power of attorney (full name, bar association, registration number, Turkish ID number, office address). Please contact our office for the Turkish ID number.
Special powers relating to litigation, such as settlement, waiver of claims, acceptance of claims, and release from liability, must be separately and expressly specified in the power of attorney.
When a power of attorney is granted on behalf of a legal entity, documents demonstrating authority to represent that entity may be required.
