Legal Procedures in Yalova: Courthouse and Filing Guide
This page offers general information on the courthouse, the bar association and the filing routes for anyone facing a legal matter in Yalova. It is informational only and is not legal advice on your specific case.
Yalova Courthouse
The Yalova Courthouse serves the central district and the districts of Altınova, Çınarcık, Çiftlikköy and Termal. The main courthouse building is at İsmetpaşa Mahallesi, Hakim Sadettin Berki Sokak No:12 (courthouse phone: 0226 814 86 11). An additional service building opened in 2024; please confirm with the courthouse or through UYAP which building a given unit is in before you go.
Accessing file and hearing information
- You can view the status of your court and enforcement files through the UYAP Citizen Portal via e-Devlet.
- If you have granted a power of attorney, your lawyer follows the file through UYAP; it is still wise to keep hearing dates in your own calendar.
- Time limits stated in a notification can lead to loss of rights, so show any notification to a lawyer without delay.
Mediation before filing a lawsuit
For some types of cases, such as employment, commercial and consumer disputes, applying to a mediator before going to court is a statutory precondition. The Yalova courthouse has a mediation bureau. Our office also provides mediation services; you can tell us about your dispute through our contact page.
Yalova Bar Association
Lawyers are registered with the Yalova Bar Association (Fatih Cad. Asmaz Plaza No: 35/20, Yalova; phone: 0226 812 49 86). You can check whether a lawyer is registered through the Bar Roll on the association's website. People without the means to pay may apply to the bar's legal aid office for support under the statutory conditions.
